My newest painting from memory of a moon eclipse

This is the eclipse in the telescope - photo I took on 3.3.2007 in my garden. Unfortunately the viewing in telescope is black and white only.

I could do it, because foxes did not invade our garden yet. Now I am reluctant to go there at night.

This is a drawing I did after watching the eclipse 0n 3 March 2007. The moon was the colour of copper or raw sienna. I sort of drawn the gravity well around it. I have seen it in my mind? This is done in crayons in my diary - very small.

Then in July 2011 I painted it in oil on canvas, following the advise of my friend Chris Kofler.

This painting is bigger - 10x12 inches.

The fox came back!!!

On 29 July I spotted the fox on the roof again. And he did not forget his blue shopping bag. I wonder where he hunts? What does he eat? He has grown, so he is not starving. The garrage roof is his place to relax and sleep in the sun. Or he/she is still hoping to find his pups?

It is impossible to know the mind of creatures who are not us. But they are part of the universe we are in, so we try to understand.
